lyrics
always got so many words to say
i'm just tryna ride my bike down the greenway
all that time i spent in primary school, telling me
look the other way, look the other way
what's that friendly man at the store
i'm so glad that he was just smiles and nothing more
but then my girlfriend had to swing by our flat
and he asked me how we would have kids,
god, what'd he do that for
it happens every single day,
i just want to buy some juice,
i really want to trust you but it's just no use,
i literally exist, i'm sorry that it's weird
i'm trying to do better than my peers.
please don't look at me on the bus
please don't talk to me on the train
please don't make a fantasy of us
you'd done it all before
you'll do it all again
so imagine we are kids
imagine we are friends
just playing in the playground
til breaktime ends
it's easy to relate, i literally exist
i told my best friend i was her boyfriend

A bit late to this party, but what a find! A record to cherish, which synthesises so much that's worth hearing from Indie's past into something beautiful. Great music and pin-sharp lyrics. "Pretty Soon...." is as articulate a comment on the Daily Mail generation's self-righteous BS as you'll hear anywhere and I'm old enough to know, sadly. Hats off to this great band, looking forward to more. It'slove

In a more perfect world, this band would blaring out of every radio on Earth. The lyrics, the vocals, the just-outta-teens snark and earnestness... so much to love. paulimboden
Fuzzy, rollicking indiepop from New Jersey’s Joy Cleaner puts equal emphasis on heartbreaking melodies and rough-edged guitars. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 17, 2017

Just a great and varied collection of songs from all sorts of different acts. I buy this festival record annually and will continue to do so. Gavin Hellyer
